Using Testnet & Getting Test KTA

Overview​

The Keeta Testnet is a sandbox environment that lets you safely explore Alpaca without using real assets.
Testnet tokens have no real value and are intended for learning, testing, and experimentation.

Step 1: Switch to Testnet​

To change networks in the Alpaca app:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Keeta Network
  3. Select Test

Your wallet is now connected to the Keeta Testnet.

Step 2: Copy Your Wallet Address​

From the wallet home screen:

• Tap your wallet address (e.g., keeta_aab…)
• The address is automatically copied to your clipboard

Step 3: Request Test KTA​

To receive test tokens:

  1. Open the Keeta faucet:
    https://faucet.test.keeta.com/
  2. Paste your wallet address into the address field
  3. Enter an amount (up to 10 KTA per request)
  4. Submit the request

You can repeat this process multiple times to receive additional test KTA.

Step 4: Confirm Funds​

Return to the Alpaca Wallet and refresh the screen.

Your balance should now display approximately 10.00 KTA on Testnet.

Notes​

  • Testnet tokens have no real-world value
  • Testnet is ideal for learning how swaps, transfers, and token creation work
  • You can switch back to Mainnet at any time from Settings → Keeta Network
